If you live in the state of New York and have lost your job through no fault of your own, then you are eligible to apply for New York State Unemployment Insurance Benefits. In order to file for your New York State Unemployment Insurance Benefits online at www.labor.state.ny.us, you will first have to login. You will have to do this by entering your social security number. You will be able to file your claims online for a certain period. This includes Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Friday, you will be able to file online from 7:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. During the weekends, you will be able to file from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday up to 7 p.m. on Sunday. So make sure you file within those days and times.
